Causes close to the heart.  I live in Lane County, Oregon, a beautiful area that is close to other even more beautiful areas.  Despite the beauty of Lane County there is also a high rate of unemployment, due in part to the large rural parts of the county, and a high number of families with ‘food insecurity’.  To help the community, there are a number of non-profit organizations that I have worked with that I think deserve special mention (and your support!).

United Way of Lane County

United Way does a ton of great work in Lane County, including their fabulous Success By 6 program, helping families in financial trouble and ensuring access to health care.  The folks at UWLC are dedicated and fantastic to work with.

McKenzie River Trust

Do you have property and wish to ensure that it stays protected during your lifetime and afterwards?  McKenzie River Trust can help you do that.  They specialize in conservation easements, restoring ecosystems and educating the community about conservation.  Bonzer (look it up) folks!

netCorps has been providing non-profit support for 20 years.  netCorps is a non-profit that helps other non-profits with their technology, including office technology, websites, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), databases and more.  The folks that work there are dedicated professionals who really know their stuff.

Parenting Now!

Parenting Now (formerly Birth To Three) provides curriculum to the world and education classes to new parents in Lane County.  They work in a round building.  How’s that for character?

Catholic Community Services of Lane County

Catholic Community Services of Lane County helps families and individuals with direct assistance in the form of clothing, food, utility assistance, health insurance enrollment, even some housing.  The folks at CCS are super helpful and CCS is a staple in the community.
